Shadows
This is a series of pictures that were taken of a variety of shadows during the COVID- 19 Pandemic. I was looking for any kind of shadows that I could find within my place of quarantine. I considered any shadow that was not of a human but instead of, objects, windows, and blinds. I wanted to use the theme of loneliness, which I myself and many others had felt while being in quarantine. Due to the protocols of social isolation many of us had to go weeks without seeing the people that they love the most. Having to be separated from each other as a society had really caused me to focus more on the things that were around me within my home. As I had been stuck inside of the place that I call home, the sunlight that poured into my house, caused all different shadows to appear. Social isolation is supposed to be staying six feet away from each other but, our shadows are always right next to us. For even when we feel alone, we will always have ourselves. I really thought about the many shadows that I have in my house and believe that they could depict my time of quarantine during the pandemic.
